Overcoming Fear and Self-Sabotage.

Would overcoming fear change your life?

Do you sabotage every good opportunity that comes your way?

Do you want to know how to be happy once and for all?

It all comes down to the power of positive thinking.

"When your conscious mind thinks you want something but your subconscious mind thinks you don’t deserve it (or any other limiting belief), you will fail at getting what you want. Instead you will actually attract what your subconscious feels is right for you. In order to attract what you prefer, your conscious and subconscious have to be in agreement."
Joe Vitale

If you’re unhappy in your life, there’s a good chance that you’ve got an internal battle going on. Part of you wants to achieve your goals while the other part is putting on the brakes. In order for you to get what you say you want, your conscious mind must be in line with your subconscious mind.

To better understand this concept, Susan Shumsky explains that "your conscious beliefs are what you think you believe. Your subconscious beliefs and deepest convictions are what you really believe."

Here’s how it works.

You have a negative experience. You create a meaning for this experience. You now have a fear or a negative belief. That creates negative thoughts. These thoughts create negative feelings. These negative feelings create excuses. And these excuses create actions or lack of action. See how this can affect you?

Your fears and self-sabotaging beliefs hold you back from doing what it takes to move forward and attracting or creating what you "say" you want.

So how can you finally get what you want and live a purpose driven life?

The first step is recognizing what your fears and self-sabotaging beliefs are. You can’t change something you’re not aware of. Then you have to determine where they came from and when they came into your life. After you’ve figured that out, you must let go of these fears and beliefs so they no longer have control over you.

Ask yourself if your negative beliefs are rational? Do they make sense? Become aware of your thoughts and your negative self-talk. Listen to what you’re saying to yourself. Choose to ignore the things that don’t serve you, find your courage and take action anyway.

Let go of what other people think of you. You can’t control their thoughts or how they’ll react so stop living your life trying to please others. Realize that when people have a "problem" with you or your choices, they’re projecting their issues on to you. So just be who you are and do what feels right for you.
